been going back and forth with manufacturer and installer for a week, stone resin shower tray 1400x800 with a fracture 220mm long , all installation instructions were followed, manufacturer says installer error (over tightened screws) also a smaller fracture on the opposite side that hasn’t spread.

any thoughts one way or the other greatly appreciated

thanks

Doesn't matter what anybody else thinks. Its between the installer and the manufacturer.
It's going to have to be replaced.

Worst shower drains ever.

we were told because we bought it we would have to do the leg work with the manufacturer, took pictures, answered questions etc to which they’re doubling down on the over tightening

If the installer has installed to manufacturers instructions and you supplied then its between you and the actual supplier.

To ge honest them traps are not really fit for purpose. If it leaks, you didnt tighten the screws enough, if it cracks, you over tightened the screws. It's the weakest/thinnest part of the tray.

Trading standards?
