Hi Guys,

I have a new combi boiler, with the flue going straight up through the ceiling and roof.

The ceiling, around the flu is plywood, with a 12mm gap around the flu pipe.

What can I safely use to seal the gap?

Thanks.

Perhaps the same reason he put the condensate drain direct into the ground, or didn't terminate the blow off pipe outside properly, or flush the system that he put on the paperwork.
Or that he told me it had a 4yr warranty, where in fact it only has 2yrs.

He did make sure he removed every scrap of copper and brass from the old installation. But left the old tank in the loft.

Just north of Great Yarmouth.

Guy was registered and I did get the paperwork from the council afterwards.

He came recommended by friend, but I wouldn't recommend him.

Also with the heavy rain recently, I'm chasing a leak under the tiles around the flue area.

I'd advise getting someone else in to check your system over, it's what you can't see.

BG did a first year inspection.

Didn't take the case off,

checked flu and emissions and gas rate.

Have installed pump to take away the condensate, only outside drain is on the other side of the bungalow.

found an Alpha sealing ring, 6.5472207
will have to split it to fit it.

worcester bosch fire stop plate is very easy to fit once the flue has been installed as its in two pieces. Part number 87180069070 i think but please make sure its the right size if you order it.

its gunna cost 25-30 squids at a guess.

I was stupid enough not to check the position of the pipes under the tiles when installing a toilet and drilled right through the center of a 16 mm copper water pipe. I exposed the pipe by removing a ~30cm section of the plastic sleeve and a ~10 cm section of the pipe around the hole. Several...

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

Hi they used to say as a last resort you could discharge the D2 pipework at high level and turn it back to the wall. Similar to a combi boiler. I have just looked back through the regs this seems to have changed and it isn't mentioned now. It now mentions if at high level it should be discharged...
