Hi
I have a problem with one of the valves on my bath mixer. The hot tap insert has fractured around the thread.I have had a look online
for a replacement but cant seem to find the same insert. The mixer taps are a good few years old now.My taps is the older type quarter
turn with the rubber washer on it.Would it be possible to convert this taps to ceramic disc.I would just change the whole mixer
but the taps are on the back of the bath on the long side against the wall,so this would involve taking the bath out to change the mixer. Not
something tbat i want to do.Can i just add that there is no makers name on the mixer.Could anyone suggest a solution to this please?

Take em with you to b&q and ask if they have got some ceramic inserts to replace these ? Failing that bath out, get a plumber in :)

Had this in a semi detached, broke through to taps by making hole in outside wall

And this is why you don't put taps on the back side of the bath.
Not my idea.I came home from work to discover it had been done this way.The bath was fully installed by this time
so it was decided to leave it as it was. That's what happens when you don't stand over tradesmen while they
are employed by you

Wouldn't work for you then :). Would say that it was a lack of communication

Fire up a picture long shot but someone may recognise it ....regards Turnpin:punk:

Be no harm isolating the hot and cold to the bath, taking the spindles out and bringing them to a decent plumbers merchant and getting something else

Hi, basic question, any insight much appreciated. Looking to have an outdoor tap in my front porch fed from 15mm pex coming up from suspended floor. Pic 1 is inside porch, pex temporarily clipped to give an idea of pipe placement (ignore shoddy blockwork of booted cowboy builder!), Pic 2 is...
