Hi.I have 6 caste iron rads and want to connect them all the lines are in with the stubs sticking out of the wall.
There are two manifolds down stairs each with 6 pipes each so it looks like each rad has a flow and return.
From the manifolds 2 pipes go back to a baxi gas boiler .
What valves would be best to buy and fit,the connections are on the bottom of each rad. ?
When connecting valves to rads and copper pipes is it ok to use that white paste to be sure of a 100% seal ?
The rads came out of a cinema in Liverpool they weigh a ton.
Copper connections are coming out of the wall.
Thanks for any advice and comments
Regards micoy bliss

First thing before anything else connect a hose pipe to said rads and flush as much of the many years of crap out of them as you can.
We always pressure test old cast rads before fitting they are know to leak.
Picture of your rad connections would be useful.
Rad valves? anything you like that meets regs.

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...
