Hi,

Just a quick question for you knowledgable folks.

I have a plumber coming round tomorrow and and wondering if his price is not way to high for the work.

I have a old bank boiler that i'm keeping, but the work i need doing is a boiler service first, to check the boiler before doing work on it, then the feeder tank i think it is, is corroding, i also have lead pipes that need replacing plus a new cold water feed pipework as well.

He advises that the system is currently a gravity based system , so he is going to change that by putting in a new system, can't remember what it is called, and it involves taking out the tanks and putting two new ones in up in the loft. He says the work will take up to three days and also involves putting all the old rads back on and filling up the system, he's quoted £1300.

What do you think, is that reasonable?

Actually I agree with you. It is should be £500 more now I have thought about it.
