Whats the next step on from the Nvq 3? I'am literally just in the process of finishing off my Nvq 3, although its not one of those things that's really going to make me any more money; my chance to finish the qualification runs out in December so I'am getting my arse in gear as its become a bit of a legacy lol.

Anyone have any experience in a ''plumbing degree''? I'am not even sure if there is a degree but I assume(perhaps wrongly) it will probably be mechanical engineering.

Any of you guys thought about furthering your qualifications in this way?

cheers for reading

BTec/HNC in Building Services then onto HND. You will get credits for your L3 (i.e. won't have to do some bits) but this route is normally if you want to go into consultancy.

Lots & lots of training & short courses to quire the knowledge just in the plumbing, heating, renewable's, electrical, etc etc etc
Happy learning

PS have you done the L3 system planning exam yet? You should try the new qualification 6189 they have split them up so you do 4 (sanitation, heating, hot & cold) O what fun!!

I Have completed all of the level 3 apart from the Nvq folder, literally just got to commission a HW + CW system, Have you done the HNC chris?

No fear, to much like hard work for me LOL!
Often thought of how I would get on with it if I tried, you know with the bits & pieces I have picked up along the way :stooge_curly:.

I have the hnc in building services, never fancied the hnd tho. Well not yet anyway :)

Once you have every possible plumbing qualification, right up to PHD level then you may, if you are really talented and committed, be considered for admission as a deputy-apprentice-under-merchant. (Provisionally) :)

Hi, basic question, any insight much appreciated. Looking to have an outdoor tap in my front porch fed from 15mm pex coming up from suspended floor. Pic 1 is inside porch, pex temporarily clipped to give an idea of pipe placement (ignore shoddy blockwork of booted cowboy builder!), Pic 2 is...
