He tried to reconnect it in case it somehow miraculously fell off it was knackered. The previous owners didn't even have the system flushed before fitting new boiler

No definitely won't be, ill show the other guy on Friday exactly what has been done, so he can go through his process of elimination

I'll have a go in the morning as the system SHOULD wake up (fingers crossed). I did just turn boiler on and it was doing it's usual...lights on ,making noise ,no hot rads. So we'll see in the morning ‍

So you’ll be changing the whole valve every time then rather than just the actuator if that darker copper pipe is as close as it looks

Yep it was loose when I moved it towards the wall, with the heat and water on
