Didn’t mean for it to sound like that mate(sorry). Always sceptical with stuff like that. That’s why I do not use his stuff.
What do you use now then?

I seem to tighten a lot of monoblocks up for folk. I get by with erm..erm...the universal ceramic cartidges from screwfix but may invest in one of your kits soon. When you say you 'do' a lot of taps Phil, do you mean change a lot?
Watch the video and all will magically be revealed
Seriously, "it reveals all" said Aladdin
Doesn’t that mean cheap?Thanks Town.

Apart from the one you use for your cartridges and spindlesTight is the phrase you're looking for
What that means old bean is you get nowt for owt. So, being the caring people we are we've made it profitable for you, profitable for custards & profitable for us. Who's losing out? Poor manufacturers

I know what you meant mate. I’m just in one of them moodsMeant tap manufacturers (actually only importers here in UK). Cartridges are bought from Spain but made in China, spindles all made in Sheffield The full story is on our site if you can be 4rsed
I do apologise for seemingly hijacking your thread Phil. Just realised so I'll stop posting. Sorry.

My 'excuse' is that writing & editing videos is a nightmare...
I know exactly 'why' it happened, but it shouldn't have.
Easy money for your there mate. Worth taking the bath panel off to have a look?Yes , I've just told the landlady it will have to be a new showerbath but I couldn't do it till next year.
Now she asks if the tap can be moved to other side!

Yes, this job came in from a new customer last night, an easy tap swap apparently which set alarm bells ringing so I asked for pictures from the tennant.Hmm. Thing is, you'll not seal that properly and three months of water leaking could destroy flooring etc.
You'll have to judge her and the situation VERY carefully AND need to write something up & get her to sign to move responsibility very clearly back to her for ALL consequences. Not easy
On a temp basis I would say yes. But I would still want that old bath out and new one in. (But that’s just me)I was thinking that, it actually looks a half decent bathroom, surely CT1 and some white plastic will do it.
2 to go?
Let me guess. Tap cartridge kit?Nope recommend a basin swap basins cracked and taps are puttied in no chance I'm trying

Most tools are mass produced in Chinese factories, and quality is determined by the production run that they are made on at that time. Support a good British tool manufacturer like Monument, not overpriced hyped up tat made in a Chinese factory.
The clue is in the Made in China sticker on the packaging. Please excuse me but may I ask how much product you have made in China as you seem so intimate with it?
Jawdropper for me abt £50https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B079NJQ...&ascsubtag=c413d2868dc3d2eb0753ed8c827681e6_S
I want this kit but will feel robbed at £167.00
I do a lot of taps but I have the jaw droppers and monoblock spanners..
I don't own any Nerrad tools, are the worth the money?
All that I use and on occasion a telescopic crows foot wrench.Jawdropper for me abt £50

Just about everything is made in China these days, from my fly fishing kit to the tools I use and most of the products in your home.
The reason why I know is that I get sent info from the manufacturers when new products are being made, so you're excused pal.

I think a good old fashioned mud wrestle would sort this out?Ahh. A resident Chinese manufacturing expert. Welcome.
My experience, as a manufacturer, is that Chinese quality can far exceed that I've seen in the west. Admittedly I have no idea what I am talking about, but what I have seen - obviously only there a couple of months ago so may have changed - it that Western business is only interested in the cost not the quality.
From my conversations with both Chinese & Western manufacturers, the Chinese are more than happy & capable of producing 100% perfect goods but of course they need to charge a reasonable price. Western organisations unfortunately do not value their customers so they buy cheap and get the quality the Chinese (or anyone else for that matter) can produce for the money they are paid.
Thank you for your valuable insight.
He must have fallen out of bed and landed on his "happy side".I think a good old fashioned mud wrestle would sort this out?

Would you pay though?Don’t get me involved. I’m just saying what I feel people want to see.
Well I'm running an appeal for Strathcarron Hospice, if that helps. Any of you that can cast a fly rod on a river are more than welcome to join us on the River Nith on the 4th of November. Grumpy is welcome too.Would you pay though?
All proceeds to charity of course
