However, with a broad range of plumbers available in market, it is important that you hire the right plumber who provides you high standard services at the best industry prices.

Here are some tips that can really help you in saving money while dealing with a plumbing issue next time:

1. Ask for referrals - You must ask for referrals from your family and friends to get genuine reviews about the plumbing services.

2. Get All the Details in Writing - Always get the details for your plumbing job in writing. It may sound great to discuss the numbers, but you will need to have the details laid out in order to avoid unwanted surprises and have more control of the costs.

3. Keep Yourself Informed - One of the easiest ways by which you can save your plumbing costs to a certain extent is by educating yourself on the basics of the plumbing.

4. Buy the Plumbing Fixtures Directly - If you know you need a valve or a toilet or something else, buy it yourself rather than waiting for the plumber to go and buy.

*grins* you should note with 4 that whatever you purchase you will be responsible for, not the installer. As such if the part fails they won't be held responsible for it.

True. That's the point where the aforementioned steps would come handy, like here again you can ask for referral to know of what brand your known ones are having installed (which is working fine with them), secondly if you keep yourself informed then you will know atleast of the basic plumbing fixtures.
So it does totally depend on other points along with your one's own approach.

Take it from this post that you have had a bad experience with some plumbing work ? Items 1 & 2 make sense 3. Have known some real nightmare jobs when people try to have a go at fixing just basic problems , Plumbing is not as easy as it seams. 4. Buying your own parts ! People will always go for the cheaper option & cheep isn't the best, and is the it an approved part ? lost count of jobs when people say we have the part, only to find its wrong .

it's strange someone from india posting about plumbing in london
