Hi, I have this tap and it is dripping. It's quite a complicated tap and I have no idea where the washer is and how to replace it. Can anyone help please? I've put a shot of under with the tap where the water comes out. I don't know whether there is a big hex hole up there and maybe that's the way to get the tap apart to access the washer. I have no idea Thanks neil

It's not a washer it's a cartridge. If you know the manufacturer of the tap then you should be able to get a cartridge for it. If not then new tap.

Oh really. Bugger. I have no idea of the manufacture. I also don't know what a cartridge is, where do I find that on the tap? Thanks for your help

1. As stated above, its a cartridge, not a washer.
2. The cartridge will be contained in the horizontal circular chamber immediately above the sink top, where the handle is.
3. To remove the cartridge:
3a. Isolate hot and cold
3b. Remove the handle. Likely to be secured with a grub screw accessible from underside of handle, or the lever handle may unscrew to reveal an Allen grub screw.
3c. You may have to remove the dome shaped piece behind the handle. Will probably unscrew.
3d. Remove cartridge.
3e. Try and find a replacement. Unless you know make and model may involve internet searches and / or a vist to a decent plumbers' merchant.
3f. Re-assemble with new cartridge.
4. Or, as suggested above, new tap time.
