hi can any one help i need a high limit stat for a myson velaire oil fired boiler the trouble is they have been out of circulation for some time.the control stat on the boiler is factory set to130f-55c min 180f-82c max but no one can tell me what the high limit stat should be it would be a shame to scrap the boiler for such a cheep part would it be possible to use another manufactures part on the boiler and what would i need to no to ask for

If its obsolete then it's obsolete. Not much u can do IMO although I don't work on oil so I'm only going on what I do know (gas boilers) in similar circumstances

Have you spoken to myson about this?

Blimey, SimonG - you're on a roll tonight!! Cracking tip that one, thank you!!! I use them but hadn't thought to ask them about older bits and bobs.

simon put me on to them a while back when i needed a heavy duty grundfos i dont buy my pumps anywhere else now unless i need them that day

The lad that runs it used to be on the tools so he knows what he's talking about and what you're talking about most of the time. Good service and good price and no before anybody asks I don't work for them. :) :) :)

I have had some problems with obsolete parts and if HWOS cant source them heating parts specialists normally have them. If not an ordinary stat as long as the phial will fit in the pocket.
