help wanted

hi guys im new hear and new to the trade i was called out to a toilet the earlyer day and water was running thou to the pan after finding out what was wrong with it i took the part to my local plumb center and asked if they had one and was told no cause it had a 2" bore and not a 1.5" bore do you no if you can get a universal part for this i have done loads off jobs for this family and dont want to let them down but as plumb center were not very helpfull i dont want to let them down

Fluidmaster do a valve which does 1.5 and 2 inch if i remember right

Plumb centre is just a merchant

Maybe you should try B&Q or Wickes if your stuck at such a easy problem as this?

Think even a DIY'er will know this problem, a plumber should know this without even thinking

KOO thanks for you reply the others were more helpful if you read it it says i,m new to the trade i never new until now they did a 2" bore i thought they were all 1.5 as they don't tell you everything at college you know

no its not i agree with you everyone has to ask someone else how do i do this/fix that/get one of them at more than one point in there career,and none of us ever stop learning,and we learn by asking questions so ask away and i would remind other members that they were there once and to pull there heads from there rears

new things come out ie boilers and things and even the best gas fitter may have to ask questions
