Discuss Flue on a secondhand boiler in the USA area at PlumbersForums.net

We are hoping to purchase a secondhand floor standing oil boiler. The flue originally comes out on the right of the boiler. Our old boilers flue comes out of the top of the boiler. Could the new secondhand boiler work if the flue was changed to the top of the boiler? The proposed boiler we are hoping to purchase is a firebird S 70.

From memory the S 70 is a non condensing boiler if that is the case it must be quite elderly.
Best advice I can give is find date of manufacture could easily be 20 years old..
