Just about to fix toilet to floor. Ideal standard studio to the interested.

The toilet did not come with a fixing kit and I don't think that it needs one, but I know that I have to be careful with fixing it so as not to crack it.

I'll be drilling through the slate floor tile into ply then the main chipboard floor. Any advice on how to avoid cracking.

Washers? screw types, raw plugs? How tight is tight?

Just don't want to balls it up.

mark up the holes, remove toilet, drill holes, refit toilet , screw down to floor installing screw covers at the same time (just hand tighten screws)

so nothing special just make sure I don't over tighten

yup, regular pan and cistern back to wall.

thats a close coupled wc, they do a back to wall in the studio range, you can't see the cistern on a back to wall wc.

Ah ok, I took you literally. I have a cc then but they do a back to the wall version too.

yep in the studio range, fitted one about a month ago

pricey bit of kit just for a pan.
