Evening all. I need to do the above. Now I have looked online at lots of different anchors but none that seem to be good for brick work. Drop in anchors are only good for concrete apparently. I am just needing to fit a few pipes and a flue so not really that much load on it. What about these resin fixings, are they any good

What is the fixing for, and what size stud is it, M10?

A bit OTT mate, frame fixings or at most an off the shelf sleeve anchor should both be fine for brickwork. I'd only use threaded bar/resin fixings for high load applications or where I need the extra length of thread that a fixing won't provide or if the brickwork is shot.

I did say above what it is for, pipe and a plume kit. The plume kit needs m8. But the bit they supplied with it is too short for what I need

If not concrete screws and straight in.

Sorry Mutley, been a long day, Why not just get a female backplate to accept a longer bit of stud, fix the backplate to the brickwork with a plugs and screws.

Wheres the job, I might be able to help, im from Kingston lol

Shield Anchor Stud Type M8 x 70mm Pack of 5 | Stud | NoLinkingToThis how about those?

Just get a malleable iron back plate two m10 nuts some stud and a lined clip.

If it's external buy stainless

Yep :)

Edit. Yep was meant to you being able to replace the threaded dar in a shield anchor....

had the same issue recently and the resin insert was a quick easy option that works well, still got the rest of the tube for next job.

Well it turns out with those sleeve fixings you can't put your own treaded rod in it as the rod that's in it has a tapered edge which pulls into the sleeve and expands it when tightening. So used the epoxy resin stuff, which I may say, works a treat!

In short: Do suppliers sometimes list BSPT as BSP? I need a tee, 22mm each end with a BSPT in the middle for an expansion vessel to dangle from. Why I think its I've used calipers on the threads and counted them, and the male end sticking out of the vessel is BSPT 3/4 with 14 threads per inch...

Hi all I have a Vaillant eco boiler at a new house I moved into last week. It’s a combo boiler and the last boiler I had was old (and much easier to use!) This one keeps turning itself off. The hot water seems to work and is always warm. The heating also works but for random amounts of time...
