Great news today. After five years and £10,000 in expense a full force patent is granted for the PORSADRILL core diamond drilling system.

Not only does that STOP anyone from blatently copying our original idea from 2005 BUT it allows us to negotiate hard with retail.

They cant just grab our UK idea and slip off to the far east to copy it. It also helps secure UK jobs. And as we take this to retail its another string to the bow.

We have been persued RELENTLESSLY by other drill bit manufacturers (no names on here) who were waiting to see if our claims held water. If this had failed then our unique and now PATENTED idea would have been ripped to bits by bigger companies based overseas.

Now we have the paperwork we can protect our IP. And ensure complete enforcement.

The wheels of justice turn very slowly. But they do turn.....

Re: Fantastic news from *********. (SPONSOR OF THIS SITE) PATTENT FULLY GRANTED FOR

This will really help us when talking to companies in the plumbing industry. The retailers. A full force patent is not the same as "patent applied for"
And the buyers know that....
It wont stop them harrasing for the best price. But it might mean they will stock our product rather than a crude knock off.
Fingers XXED for 2011 2012.

Folks sorry about the gobbledegook above in this bit of the post but its put in to help make it easier to search for the patent quicker for any company or individual looking for the info.

Most will be looking at it to either copy or infringe.

I know some of our competitors were holding back and waiting to see if the patent application held up to scrutiny. They expected it to fail.
October 2011 (Five years after filing) but after exhaustive serching and careful examination of the documents we submitted they were substantiated by the IPO and the ESP

On 20th July the full records were published.

This wierdly put together post brings together the online search forms into one place.

Might not be the most exciting bed time reading but it helps us establish PORSADRILL and waves the flags to any potential competitor contemplating making the same thing.

Sorry, what does all this mean?

Others can't make small diamond coated core drills for tiles?

Genuinely a bit lost!?

If you read it you will see that the patent is for the guide and not the drill bits.

Great set. The bits far oulasted the own branded ones I bought from Topps Tiles a few years ago. Drilled about 20 holes through porcelain with the medium one and its still going!
