Obviously it needs to be readable and good practise would require you can get at it without damaging anything (albeit it might still be a pain in the rear) but does anyone know if there any other rules water boards tend to have about accessibility? Or other reasons why I shouldn't consider what I am considering?...

Basically customer thinking about back to wall vanity unit to help hide ugly meter and spruce up room a bit. I was thinking re-gig this so stopcock renewed and still vivisble/accessible but put meter inside back to wall unit and flip it so you could read it once you took of off hopefully top part of vanity unit but if very tight/tricky maybe one of front panels too.

Bad idea or ok?

How are they going to replace the water meter

Would need the whole front to come off then they would still moan

Shared water main?

Not shared, no.

Yeah would be pretty inaccessible. So would you maybe suggest some sort of bespoke furniture which leaves meter fully accessible and readable or to just leave be?

I would ask the waterboard if they could move it outside

Ideal Logic 24, Previous problem was that the hot water was only cold or barely warm if the heating was in use. If heating was off and boiler cold then would get hot water most of the time. Changing the flow cartridge about 2 years ago (when I moved in) solved this problem enough to suffer it as...

I was stupid enough not to check the position of the pipes under the tiles when installing a toilet and drilled right through the center of a 16 mm copper water pipe. I exposed the pipe by removing a ~30cm section of the plastic sleeve and a ~10 cm section of the pipe around the hole. Several...
