Hi all
I have this McAlpine overflow and waste HC2650UK:
The flexi overflow is not long enough. I thought it might be possible to extend it by fitting ordinary pipe and an appropriate elbow to the trap, and then the flexi on to that, since the trap-side connector has a 32mm compression nut, so that seemed possible initially when I bought it. However, this connector is too small for solvent pipe (I was under the impression one could use either solvent or push-fit in a compression fitting) and the flexi pipe has a "Push fit flex adapter" (no.17 in the diagram) which clicks into place with a little notch, which makes me think this is a bespoke arrangement and not designed for what I intended. Although '32mm' push-fit pipe will fit in the trap fitting (the flexi is 34mm outside diameter), I can't see how I would then fit the flexi on to the push fit pipe if this adapter is necessary in the first place - I suspect a coupler wouldn't work.
Any ideas about this, or another way to do it, would be most welcome. I have searched quite a bit with no clear solution so far. The flexi solutions McAlpine sell all have smooth spigots, which seems much more sensible, unlike this flexi which is ribbed all the way to the ends.

The answer, which was quite difficult to find, is that they do actually make longer versions of this flexi:

Also, I found a 32mm compression end cap and tried it on the flexi I do have, and it held water fine. I was wondering if the ribbed nature of the flexi would mean a compression fitting would be compromised, but it seems ok, so I could also do it the way I intended if necessary.
