Has anyone come across an electric shower that can boost mains? I know about the Salamander jobbies but I'm not sure 12l/min is going to be good enough for washing hair in a salon?

They're not available. You'll need a separate pump or feed from a storage tank and use a pumped shower. 12l/min is the maximum you can pump direct from the mains. If the pressure is good you could look at using an accumulator (or a large potable exp vessel ad I did recently).
