hi

anyone know the best make of drill bits for drilling porcelain tiles the size i need are 5. 7. and 10mm the tiles are 10mm thick

thanks

Totally agree, 365 drills are the best. Buy one of their kits, the bathroom kit is good value and cheaper than buying them individually.

I use a masonry bit on tiles make a small whole at slow speed then increase the speed that the jobs a good one. I haven't cracked a tile yet.

As above, mark your hole, get a screw and hammer and GENTLY tap the point on your mark to give you a starting point and stop the drill bit circling around everywhere.
Then use a masonary bit start slow and increase speed as you make your way through.
I have broke tiles before but never through drilling them..

Bosch multi construct bits are really good. Burn out pretty quick on porcelain though so have to be new. I usually try them first then if the porcelains really hard and I'm struggling I use a marcrist diamond bit. You don't have to wet these and they last ages, best on the market I've found so fa,r although not cheap.

thanks for all the replies, but i posted this thread to get different makes of drills bit that people had actually used, i dont there's anything wrong with M77 suggesting a different make other than the advertisers brand, that's why it's called a forum

Aye. But not going with the sponsors gets your card marked against you lol
