Hi all,

I've a mixer tap which is hard to close on the hot water side, so water is generally dripping.

I've attached a pic of existing tap cartridge from mixer (left side) and a new 1/2 inch cermaic cartridge (right side).

The right one goes into the tap but not all the way (due to a hole in the tap base for the extra pointed length of cartridge on the LHS). Please also note the difference of splines at the top between the two.

Could someone please advise the right replacement cartridge for my mixer tap. Is it a fastthread?

A link to identify the correct one would be highly appreciated.

Thanks. basin_tap.jpg

Hi, Would that be silicon grease? I've thermal silicon grease but don't think it can be used here. Can you please share a link for a good grease for this purpose?
Thanks.

If you take the part to plumbers merchant they may be able to match it up
