I have this boiler with a 470f controller.

The DHW temp is set by the user on the boiler control panel. I have mine set to 55 at the moment.

There is also the option for the user to turn on so-called COMFORT mode which fires up the boiler from time to time to pre-heat the plate heater so it always contains a small supply of hot water to get "instant" DHW (once it gets to the tap, of course).

I often turn mine on, say for doing washing up so that things can be rinsed in a slow flow of hot water, which would otherwise be too slow to fire up the boiler for HW.

HOWEVER - - here is my question, although HW temp is set to 55, the water in the plate heater only gets up to exactly 45 (every time) and then the boiler turns off. It seems to me that there may be a separate setting for the "comfort mode" HW temp, but I can't find it anywhere.

Any ideas?

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...
