Hi, I have a combi-boiler system and while I did some plumbing many years ago I have never fitted a combi-boiler and am confused by this problem . I removed a radiator on the upper floor of my house to clean and paint the wall behind it, when removing it I shut down the lockshield and packed the sensor probe on the TRV to enable the full closure of the valve. However, the TRV will not fully shut off and has what appears to be mains pressure. The mains "top up" line is not connected though. Also when the hot water tap in the bathroom is turned on there appears to be a pressure surge as a small leak starts on the valve currently securing it.
Any help for either issue would be appreciated,
Thanks, Allan
