Afternoon,
First post here so please go easy....
I'm fitting a kithen (DIYer) and wondering if it is ok to clip 15mm copper pipe to the hardboard backing under the kitchen sink. I'd like to bring the pipes up through the bottom of the unit and have a nice layout on the backing board to serve H+C taps and the dishwasher.
The backing board seems a bit flimsy but what other options are there?
Cheers.

Yes but it will need some bracing at the back of the clips

Either would be fine

Is there an alternative?
I suppose what I'm asking is what is the conventional way of doing it?
I've seem people clip to the wall behind and cut out a 'window' to connect the flexi's etc.

Half the time they don't clip them

Depends on where the pipes are I normally clip behind the unit to give maximum space inside the units

I think im overhtinking this. Reckon I'll come through the backing, right turn, connect the valves then attach the flexi's directly. Stealth....

Don't forget some ISO valves if you have space

One I did last year

Thanks.
Very thankful you posted this as the kitchen is fed from above so I'll need drain offs. Had slipped my mind.
Whats that little oval bit? Behind the panel?

Hello all, I’m replacing a concrete paving slab patio in the back yard. The original patio used 50mm deep concrete slabs on hardcore & sand. I’m planning to pour a 100mm deep concrete patio on 100mm hardcore. In order to achieve the same final height to line up with the rest of the patio, I...

Copper pipes, I think its fair to say, is not what it used to be, the copper is getting thin while the cost is going up. Meanwhile, plastic Pushfit seems to be getting better and better, cost and convenience was always better, but now the quality is to, have we reached a stage where plastic will...
