I've priced a new combi boiler , but customer is adamant they can't afford , TRV's and room thermostat , we're do we stand as installers?

You cant force anyone into anything you can only advise I would push for a programable stat though.

williams do a salus for penny's really if the budget is tight

you put on the paperwork that they can't afford them and get them to sign. have they not got a thermostat already? trvs are only a recommendation not a legal requirement as far as i know of course i may be wrong

Salus rt500rf

alright its it's not the best but if it's budget It comes down to its better then nothing

It's law to fit a room stat.
It's law you must recommend TRVs on existing rads, but they don't have to fit them.
On new rads you must fit trvs.

Siemans are about ÂŁ43+ vat at plumb. No reason not to fit a stat, they'll save that much in gas on their first year.

Yeah but that means using plumbs... So if your clever enough not to have an account with that circus act you'll be looking at ÂŁ600 for the same stat.

Although the Siemens is a better stat then the salus IMO

The salus is cheaper but didn't want to bring up prices in an open forum

Why would you want to fit a none compliant system, Don't even offer the option.

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...

Our kitchen mixer tap has started dripping. Like so much of the plumbing in our almost new build bungalow, it is lacking! The plumber didn't install any isolating cocks in the H&C feed to the tap so how can I identify which of the valves is passing? Shut the whole H&C water system down?

We are from Alberta, and I own an electrical company. I have been asked by a BC Mechanical P. Eng. to install an emergency STOP button at the man-door to the boiler room. It's intent is to 'halt' the operation of the boilers in the room should there be an emergency. He is demanding that I do...
