Hi again

Just posted about these regs and have just read this

All new systems in dwellings that aren’t open plan must have at least two heating zones, each
controlled by a thermostat and zone valve. In addition, all radiators must have Thermostatic
Radiator Valves (TRVs) fitted except those in rooms with a room thermostat and those in
bathrooms.

does this mean you can't use three ports on new systems???

yes you can use any motorised vavle to control your zones. 3 port should not be used on unvented cylinders.

Hi

@aw heating

thanks for your reply.....

bit confused, how can you use a three port if you now have three different zones ie 2 space heating and one hot water

bearing in mind one port of a three port is an inlet from the boiler???

You could tee off after pump before 3 port and install 2 port. I don't like y plan and much prefer s plan and s plan plus.

You could, but you would still have to fit the two port, as it is part of the unvented's safety features.

The fittings below are for a mixer bar attached to a self contained shower. i.e not a wall. The attaching screws have snapped. I could get two new brackets, dismantle that existing one and start again or I could try and re attach via those screws, removing the broken ones from the plate and wall...
