On my Valliant eco tec boiler the pressure guage is on red when cold . I drain a radiator to correct to pressure and it works fine and stays in the safe zone . When I switch boiler off the next day it’s back in the red
It could be one of the valves leaking .
Can I take the loop off , which I know should be off , and use capping blanks ?
Would capping blanks solve the problem of a leaking valve putting more water into the system . I can’t get a plumber at the moment due to time of year . It means I have to drain a radiator before I can switch on heating each day . It might be just one of the valves not closing properly. I will check this but I thought why can’t I just use capping blanks which are meant to be on anyway I am informed
Would appreciate any advice
Thank you for any help

Hi. Most filling loops have two valves. One at each end . This is incase one valve fails. (By pass ). Always make sure both valves are turned off ( if fitted ). Hopefully will fix problem of pressure increase

Thank you . I don’t know why but it worked fine today but I did bleed a bit more water from the radiator. I will check tomorrow. Maybe one of valves on the loop was not closing correctly. I will check tomorrow
Thank you for your kind advice

Hello,
I have a flexicom.cx that hasn’t been used a while: The filling loop doesn’t seem to be filling.
Has it dried out?
Grateful for any advice

Ideal Logic 24, Previous problem was that the hot water was only cold or barely warm if the heating was in use. If heating was off and boiler cold then would get hot water most of the time. Changing the flow cartridge about 2 years ago (when I moved in) solved this problem enough to suffer it as...
