hi all went to job today to check boiler sometimes firing, sometimes it would cut out before firing with 50 light flashing fan symbol. checked power from pcb to fan which was fine. thermistor spot on. thinking fan or aps. Also forgot to say it would cut out randomly if it did manage to fire then fire up again maybe a minute later and would continue like this with no error code.

silicone hoses to aps sometimes hole and cause similar issue

Pcb is good for going on these, sometimes not putting power out to the fan which would give you a fan fault. If you there when its doing it tap on the relays on the board see if that gets the fan running. Also lift the board up and check for any damage on it.

thanks dave i was getting 230v from pcb to fan at all times.

Short out aps, if it's the two wire , if it's the three don't as it's got a fan off proving too

Yeh did re read and that's why said short aps . Can't remember but don't the collars rot out on he , ones joining condenser to outlet?

never seen one rot on HE though seen loads of the small clamps rot on SE,and fan relays die, same pcb on HE and SE later pcb has a modified relay,APS very prone to failure though it does not like being behind the fan, white APS much more durable
