hi, im fitting my first bathroom so could do with some tips, When i fit the bath and basin waste wheres best to put silicone? iv head of alot of people using loads to stop waste (mainly basin) from leaking. when it is fitted in to basin would it help to use a small bead of LSX instead of normal silicone? on the basin before fittting waste? any help or tips is welcome thanks.

I just use a small about of silicone on the metal part, then a decent amount of silicone on the plastic part, along with the supplied washers. No point using lsx on it silicone will do

I use McAlpine FBW2PC for baths and BSW10p for basins no sealant required:)regards turnpin

I suggest that you better out the silicon sealant on the end parts of the bath and the basin.
