Discuss Actuators/Zone valve compatibility with Manifold in the Plumbing Zone area at PlumbersForums.net

Hi,

I am in the process of setting up underfloor heating in my home. I have used polypipe overlay plus underlays and 12 mm polypipe pipe for running hot water as advised by my builder. Due to this I now have to get a polypipe manifold as there are no other fittings which would allow me to connect the pipe to any other third party manifolds.

My plan is to use heatmiser stat thermostat system with a four zone setup. What I am not clear about is whether I need to use the actuators supplied by polypipe or can I use heatmiser or any other actuators on the polypipe manifold. Similarly do I need to use their 2 port zone valve, which I believe is manufactured by dawson or can I used honeywell zone valves.

I have asked these questions to the polypipe designer but he is not willing to answer the question. Any guidance would be highly appreciated.
