timer
Timer is a specialized type of clock used for measuring specific time intervals.
Timers can be categorized into two main types.
A timer that counts upwards from zero for measuring elapsed time is often called a stopwatch, while a device which counts down from a specified time interval is more usually called a timer. A simple example of this type is an hourglass. Working method timers have two main groups: hardware and software timers.
Most timers give an indication that the time interval that had been set has expired.
Time switches, timing mechanisms that activate a switch, are sometimes also called "timers."
Hi, hope someone can help, I’ve just had a new boiler fitted an Alpha E-Tec plus 33 and the controller it was installed with isn’t “Right” for me, it’s a neomitis wireless thing that only allows me to turn the heating on and off 3 times a day! Now I don’t want my house being thermostaticly...

Hello,
I replaced a Heatmiser Neostat V1 (stopped working) with a Neostat V2 for my Vaillant ecoTec plus 637 boiler, using it as a timer to turn the central heating on. It was a direct replacement of the ‘front’ unit without any change to the existing back plate or wiring (I am neither a...
Hi everyone,
I 'think' I've found a cheap solution to fulfilling all of my family's heat automation needs using Terrier i30 TRVs (eTRVs that have a timer, but no way of calling the boiler for heat). However, it seems too good to be true. Therefore, I wondered if I could run it by some of you...
Hi I recently got this programmer installed during my new boiler (Worchester) installation.

My 3rd timer slot is set 12pm-2.50am, yes we have our boiler heat the radiators while we go to bed and...
Hello everyone, I am looking for some help with this boiler. This problem has only just started in the last few weeks and only happens when it has been a long time (5/6 hours) between timer on settings and when it has been cold.

My central heating was installed in 1978. Over the years only two boilers have been used; installed a Kinetico water softener in mid 80s.
However when installed the upstairs radiators were run off the hot water system. This is no problem, till now, as we have never used the rad in our bedroom...

Hi all. First post. I have a JG UH3 wiring zone and I've noticed that the UFH pump always comes on when the HW 'circuit/thermo' is triggered. Hence - rather than just heat the water in the tank - I also heat the UF circuits.
I can't see a way to avoid this - it may be the way the circuits...
Hi to all member
I want to post this product I bought some weeks ago in a website in GB, it is called Acqua Tempus

Hello
My boiler seems to work fine as I get hot water no problem.
The problem is that my central heating isn't coming on.
I have a Drayton SM1 control. The switch doesn’t work and the light won’t come on. It still makes the clock sound but the heating won’t come on with the timer either.
I...
Hi, apologies if this is a stupid question but I'm a little lost at the moment.
Complete amateur when it comes to plumbing (although I have replaced radiators and valves etc.), but we recently had our bathroom refurbed. Our boiler is in the bathroom cupboard which, pre-work, had a British Gas...
Hi All,
I have a very strange problem to solve.
We are on economy 7 metering with 2 CU, 1 for appliances/lights and 1 for our heaters and the immersion heater. The immersion heater has its own 16amp fuse on the CU.
The problem we have is the immersion heater switches on about 3pm and goes off...
Have Honeywell ST9100a I’ve had to replace the relay on a number of occasions, can anyone point me to a copy of the schematic circuit diagram I can download. Have been told it’s a capacitor that’s at fault but before I change that want to check the circuit. Any help would be appreciated
The clock function has stopped working. Heating and water are working fine but we can’t use the timer function as the clock has stopped turning. I’ve tried resetting, and switching between ‘on’, ‘off’ and timer at various stages. Does it have a separate battery or anything similar? Thanks
