grey
Grey or gray (American English alternative; see spelling differences) is an intermediate color between black and white. It is a neutral color or achromatic color, meaning literally that it is a color "without color", because it can be composed of black and white. It is the color of a cloud-covered sky, of ash and of lead. The first recorded use of grey as a color name in the English language was in 700 CE. Grey is the dominant spelling in European and Commonwealth English, although gray remained in common usage in the UK until the second half of the 20th century. Gray has been the preferred American spelling since approximately 1825, although grey is an accepted variant. In Europe and North America, surveys show that grey is the color most commonly associated with neutrality, conformity, boredom, uncertainty, old age, indifference, and modesty. Only one percent of respondents chose it as their favorite color.

I've searched this forum but cannot see anyone else reporting a similar problem with the last generation grey Hep2O fittings: they unscrew!
Our whole house was re-plumbed in 1999/2000 and Hep2O fittings were used throughout for all out-of-sight fittings - just over 200 of them. One evening...
Hello. I have lived in this circa 1990, split floor plan house in FL for 23 years w/ no plumbing problems. Recently, slight amounts of grey water sporadically back up in the master tub. Timing is unknown—never actually see it happen, however the dirty evidence is there. Plumber has used...
Desperate help please - how can I get these 3 grey water pipes fed and sealed into drain please
Boiler condenser , shower and sink , bath .
new path laid so I can’t dig that up
Hi, I've just swapped out the old Aqualisa cartridge for the new, however when I went to turn the water inlet valves back on the cold was fine but I had no control over the hot. Meaning when I shut off the shower the hot water would keep flowing.
Any thoughts gratefully received as I am...
Hello,
Could you please tell me whether there is any way to create a system that separates grey and black water in a building (residential or other) with an existing plumbing system? (Not a new building)
Thank you very much for your reply.
Doing some decorating I discovered that some of the central heating pipe work is grey plastic. System installed 20 years ago by previous owners. My question is was that normal practice back then and is it likely to cause any problems in future? All exposed pipe work to rads is copper.
Horizontal and vertical flues
Existing installations no clips on extensions definitely AR? Or defect? Bit of a grey area, also self tapper screws? Ar or defect? If flue has neither but is solid would you leave on?

I had a leak coming out from this reducing tee just after a month after installation.
I think it’s an old Hep2O tee.
I took it apart and found that the grab ring had scratch the PEX pipe.
Making me think the pipe had move out of its place.
Has anyone else have the same problem and any idea...
Hi all,
Bit of a novice with piping! I had to move my washing machine, and the new location has old grey waste pipe o/d 40mm, I/d about 36mm. I'm trying to reduce this to 32mm so I can hook up my 32mm drain waste to it. I bought a 40mm-32mm reducer and it's won't fit in. Any advice as to the...
Hi all,
I have a grey water waste pipe which keeps getting blocked. The pipe is 50mm, and connected to it is a W/M, D/W, 3 x sinks and shower/bath.
Should the waste pipe be larger than 50mm, and is this the reason why it keeps getting blocked?
Any advice much appreciated.
Hi, I need some advice.
A relative wants to go from 32mm grey PVC pipe to a chrome flush pipe into the back of the toilet. Is there a fitting that I can use that will allow this?
They currently have a bigger white plastic pipe glued over the top of the grey.
I've attached a photo that they have...
Hi All,
Has anyone been to an ideal combi 30 that has had the condense pipe from the flue full of grey water with black fleks. The water was the same colour as the heat exchanger so i am wondering if it could be cracked. The only time I have seen something similar is when a flue was used that...
