Had they stuck paper up the chimney to stop the draft,or is it one of those that the top hood pulls out to open flue way and not fixed open?which ever, looks like they have been using it llke that for a while :eek:went to one the other day,tenants had put real coals on :(,Took silica sand out and fibers as thought was dust from chimney,looks like same happened here :(

done one last week on a Bermuda 552,heat exchanger blocked solid with soot,only got called in after flames reversed and torched the electrical supply and gas valve and they wonder why they were having headaches,stupid people had not had a service for 2 years
 
I'd of got my bag of marshmellows out of the van and toasted a few whilest i was there :)

I have a plumber coming tomorrow to change a cartridge on a badly dripping tap on my bathroom mixer unit. There is no separate isolating valve for this tap so I'll have to close the stopcock. I tried closing it today but it won't go absolutely 100% closed and there is still a very slight flow...
