Worst corrosion I've seen yet..

Had to replace a 3 port, refilled the system and the boiler kept over heating and locking out.

Thought it was an air lock, tried to clear it for hours before deciding to take the pump off...

That explains that then

Seen similar corrosion with what seemed a clean open vented system. Pump acts as a magnet. Better a sealed system when possible.

System is massively corroded. Cold feed and Vent are in completely the wrong places causing constant pumping over into the header tank.

Oxygenated water constantly being drawn in, nice.

That explains it! Entire system is probably for scrap.

Its not a case of trying to get them to pay for that.
That is your diagnoses if they don't accept it, charge them and move on.

Ring Magnaclean or Fernox and tell them you have a great system for a case study on, if its that full of sludge theyll probably give you a filter for free just for the publicity
