Back in the 80's as a young apprentice it quickly became evident that transport was essential in this game. Lugging tools around on a bus was not much fun...So as soon as I turned 17 I applied for my provisional licence and took up driving lessons. Passed first time wohoo & for my 18th birthday, I had saved up £55 and purchased my first car. It was Datsun Cherry 100A. cost me £350 to insure it! It had a tendency to overheating. but it was MINE & my pride & joy.

Vauxhall nova sr. Got it stolen, was used by joyriders for two weeks and the police got it back for me. It was a great car.

Also had a mk2 escort which my mate rolled and that was the end of that. I bought the mk2 for next to nothing, they are worth alot now.
