Trianco Redfyre burners (TRO 37/45)

Hallo, May I pick the brains on a problem I have please?. I have an old (as in at least 30 years!) Trianco Redfyre 37/45 which is working ok, but surely cannot last much longer!.

I have the offer of a burner from the same maker supposidly in good (recently) reconditioned condition and which looks dimensionally the same model (Inter?) except that it for a smaller heat output, (it's from a Trianco Redfyre 20/25)
The Danfoss oil pump on it is the same model, and the motor looks to be the same.

However, does anyone know is it possible to simply change the burner nozzel, electrodes, and maybe some other different internals to 'rebuild' my larger output model using the main body should mine pack up??. I am not sure about the transformer output of the 20/25 as it's a Satronic and not a May & Christie which is on mine.
Do transformers need to be 'matched' exactly to each size of burner?

Any advice at all would be much appreciated, as I don't want to pass up on this 2/25 if much of it could be used on mine in the future!.

No, certainly not!!. I just wish to collect spares - - a professional would have to fit them.

It is not the boiler that delivers the output it is the burner.
Your 37/45 has an Inter Zero burner and a 20/25 has an Inter 11. Totally different burners so most parts will be incompatible.
You could theoretically fit any burner to any boiler and match it to suit the output. You need to speak to your engineer who will advise you best.

Ver ymany thanks for taking the time to reply. The info is helpful, and I may only buy the unit just for the spare pump and one of two other electrical bits. Shame the burner won't be of much use, so will have to cross fingers for a genuine 37/45 to come along!!,

a 2nd hand pump isnt worth bothering with imho youd be better saving your money for new parts when required

Your existing boiler probably only has a 60% efficiency rating or therabouts. You're best putting your money towards a modern replacement.

If you actually work out how much it is presently costing you in oil ove one year and then how much it is likely to cost you with a modern boiler and upgraded system you will have a shock.

Hi Richard,
My Church is just about to replace its Trianco TRO 37 45. Water jacket gone due to corrosion, but burner runs fine. Old but frost protection and weekly service has been its work load! Any use?
