Hello,

I received an offer from the Water Board for a LDC MDPE 50mm connection.

We are currently laying the works required in our boundary.

A stop valve is required for the external meter chamber but we are unsure which type to buy?

There are many available online with substantially different price points.

The water board have also been no help on this.

The water board will supply the stop tap and meter as it’s there responsibility to maintain all you will need is a connection out

Also don’t forget it will need to be flushed and chlorinated as it’s 50mm specialist job

Hello Shaun,

Please see the attached screenshot of the instructions given to us by the Water Board, I have indicated what I mean.

Thanks for this Shaun.

The price is quite a lot for this.

I notice the price of these vary. Is there any logic as to why we require the one that you suggest?

The pipe is MDPE, I don't know if this changes anything?

You will need a drz underground rated it will be expensive as it’s solid brass
