i have to replace some very old steel pipe
it is about 100yrs old
would it be the same size as new steel pipe as some i will need to reconnect
thanks in anticipation

I'm pretty sure they used cast or lead 100 years ago, I don't think the diameter of steel has changed significantly in the last 50 years? :)

sorry new to this site
do i quick reply or reply with quote?
anyway the joints are clamp style no size stamped
the pipe is about 100yrs old according to the church warden
used for tench heating

Clamp style fittings? it must be cast man, especially in a church(I've worked in a few of similar age and all the main runs of pipe was 3/4" cast) with the guy reckoning about 100 y/o. Can you get a picture dude? :)
