How's it going? I'm more of a maintenance guy, so I'd like to pick the brains of the installers if I can.

In my house I have a decommissioned bbu/fire (no gas supply going to it anymore). The room it's in doesn't have a radiator as the BBU/fire used to be adequate. So, I'm looking to rip the old bbu/fire out and block up the builders opening and ten run pipes down to install a new radiator. The question is, would I have to put a vent in the builders opening to stop damp, etc? Or would the radiator being there be ok on it's own?

Cheers :)

the last one i did i left a 9x9 airbrick in the builders opening covered with a chrome grill over so looked fancy then radiator over that, job done

Ye I thought you had to leave an air brick/vent in the builders opening. Cheers for clearing it up for me :)

befor you fully block of the builders opening rember it may be a wat to hise your pipe runs just an idea seen as you arnt a installer
