Hi everyone.
Could anyone please give me some advice.I have just installed a combination cylinder in the loft, everything working ok,apart from a very slight leak, only very small no more than dampness coming from the flow fitting for the central heating fitting.i have tightend as much as i dare as i dont want to rip the tank.Could i put some silicone around the fitting to seal it or is it a drain down and start again job.cheers:confused:

Could try some LSX

If not drain down and more PTFE. I always put loads on cylinder unions

Thanks Chrisgy for a quick reply im off to get some now,i thought i had put enough ptfe on, its a pain when you get to this stage to find youve not
cheers

I always use hemp and Boss White - NEVER fails unlike PTFE sometimes.

Cheers whpes, might give this ago,the lxs did not work,so will have to drain down again.bugger.

Just don't every use any jointing compound on the immersion heater or you'll never be able to get it off again later.
