Hi guys. There's a small dishwasher in our kitchen. It's just a stand-alone one that you can put anywhere, rather than something built into the kitchen cabinets.

Anyway it's busted and I'd like to remove it and disconnect the rubber pipes at the back, but I don't want to do that and flood the kitchen the next time I put the washing machine on. At the moment it sits directly above the washing machine so I imagine they're on the same water network.

I suppose my question would be am I okay to just disconnect it as if it was a stereo system?

Cheers.

They can be plumbed in various ways but at a guess I'd say you may needs plastic cap to seal off the waste spigot and a 3/4 BSP cap to seal off the cold supply just incase thered a leak once turned off , a decent size old towel and a bowl to catch the crap out the waste hose , a picture would confirm this ?? . Hello, I'm installing a new kitchen which will have a dishwasher and washing machine. As I'm cutting/teeing into the cold mains 15mm pipe (before the kitchen sink taps) to feed the dishwasher and washing machine is it worth fitting a isolation valve with a built-in check valve? Regards Tezzer

My mum is trying to connect a washing machine and dishwasher in her kitchen. She got a guy out to do the job and he ended up making a hole in her washing machine hose and ramming the dishwasher hose into it, held together with masking tape and charged her 200 quid for the privilege of her...

Hi after some advice. I am buying a property - refurbished - they have put in a kitchen with space for a slimline dishwasher. There is sufficient height and width but the large plastic pipe behind redues the depth to 53cm when most freestanding machines are 60cm. I am worried this will stick out...

I've got a countertop dishwasher. It's an RCA, but it's made in the same place as all the other brands, including Magic Chef, Danby, etc., that have the first generation style design for countertop dishwashers. (the different brands put their own name on these particular identical Chinese...

Easy if you're a plumber I guess, but if you have no plumbing knowledge? Its a Bosch, nearly ten years old I think, its door won't shut, so it needs to be removed. They're a few videos that supposedly explain how to do it, but none for countertop dishwashers. I only saw one mention what you...
