Hi, Got called out to do a quote on hiding pipework... when i saw the job i was gob smacked. Obviously the customer cant get hold of the lad that installed it and they don't know if he's registered or not... I'm guessing he isn't. Took some pics and said no thanks..

What the ---- is that meant to be I'm sorry but if I'd of seen that I'd have to sort it out couldn't let someone live with that crap

That's some sweet work right there! I like the bit of carpet or what ever it is wedged between the flow and the gas pipe to stop any rubbing. :hurray:

Oh dear. What a mess. Even BG wouldn't have left that state

What goes through peoples heads when they are paying for this garbage!

It's got to be staged no one in there fit mind would do that would they ?

Begs the question.

Why did the customer let him continue?

How much was he charged?

this has to be diy or not from this continent, the one that gets me is the smallest...the pipe nailed to the door jamb.lol

this has properly made me laugh! i wonder what goes through the installers mind when doing this??

but this is terrible! know how when u look at a job and it runs through your mind how ur goin to do it before you even pick up a tool, this guys mind must be wasted

Gotta be a DIY job surely. Just like the socket next to the rad with cable tuck behind the rad.

Not really. He was quite creative in finding the shortest route and the use of plastic 10mm keeps the heating costs down.
Straight through the ceiling to the room below and bang it through the wall to the next room.
Think of the money they will save on running costs

I was stupid enough not to check the position of the pipes under the tiles when installing a toilet and drilled right through the center of a 16 mm copper water pipe. I exposed the pipe by removing a ~30cm section of the plastic sleeve and a ~10 cm section of the pipe around the hole. Several...
