Hi,

I'm finishing fitting a concealed mixer shower (Stud wall & false ceiling). I've wet tested the main shower head that drops from the ceiling and all is well.

The shower also has a secondary outlet for a hand held shower head. The connection has me puzzled.

There is a half inch male thread on the left with a backnut (in the below picture).

Even if I fit a wall plate elbow, I'm not going to be able to wet test before I board and tile. I must be missing something!

I'd be very greatful for some pointers.

Cheers.

What open end? The female 1/2" on the wall plate elbow?

The male thread on the part is 40mm long so the female part will need to be well behind the board & tiles.

thanks for replying btw.Capture.JPG

I personally wouldn't bother with a wet test if I had installed it, it's only under atmospheric pressure.

You could mount the back plate elbow closer to the surface and cut the male thread on the fitting back. Then use 1/2" plug to cap it whilst you test.

Hi all I'm hoping someone can shine a light on this for me Since our stop tap on the pavement has now been filled with sand for whatever reason...
