shower hose
A shower is a place in which a person bathes under a spray of typically warm or hot water. Indoors, there is a drain in the floor. Most showers have temperature, spray pressure and adjustable showerhead nozzle. The simplest showers have a swivelling nozzle aiming down on the user, while more complex showers have a showerhead connected to a hose that has a mounting bracket. This allows the showerer to hold the showerhead by hand to spray the water at different parts of their body. A shower can be installed in a small shower stall or bathtub with a plastic shower curtain or door. Showering is common in Western culture due to the efficiency of using it compared with a bathtub. Its use in hygiene is, therefore, common practice.
I removed an old shower hose, which was installed by previous home owner at least 12 years ago. Upon removal, the connection is like nothing I have ever seen and I am unable to find any replacement hose of similar connector type. btw: When I removed the hose , there was no loose rubber washer...
Hi,
We have been trying to find a replacement shower hose that match these ends, but we haven't had any luck.
The hose ends we see online or have purchased don't have the same end that goes into the shower tap (hose end on the right in the picture)
Does anyone know where to get hold of...
Hi,
I'm hoping to connect a tap to either the bath tub tap (M28 I think?!) or alternatively the shower hose of the shower in the same bath tub. I need this tap for a small diy sink to sit on top of the bath tub for our toddler (as on this website: Kleiner Nachtrag zur Waschstation -...
this may sound a basic question, but it is important. I have seen so many conflicting opinions, even from manufacturers. Some say, just use the biggest bore possible, others say use a small bore 8mm for a fully pumped system & a large bore 11mm for a gravity system. There must be a reason why...
Hi,
I currently have a shower with an aerator attached at the wall fixings. I have just bought a new shower head with an integral aerator, so no longer need the original one. However, when I remove it, the shower hose (standard fit) no longer fits as the aerator tapers from 2cm diameter to...

Hello,
Recently the metal shower hose on my bathtub has broken and I have been trying for the past few months without success to find a replacement hose and shower nozzle head. The shower nozzle head has broken off of the hose itself.
I have tried to hire a few plumbers to come and fix this...
I'm new to the forum (hello). Been trying to get a replacement shower hose for ages, but can't find any that are like this. Any ideas? It's the connection on the left that I can't find anywhere. It screws into the shower unit outlet (side/hand shower) Any help would be appreciated. :)
Hi, hoping someone can help me. I just replaced the shower hose due to the old one leaking at the base connection at the wall (shower is built into tiles). I replaced the washers but the leak is worse than ever. It seems like a pressure build up in the shower head is causing the leak but I am...

I am purchasing a hand shower on a rail
and have a choice for the wall outlet -
this can either be with or without a
non-return valve.
Is it better to have the non-return valve,
if so, why ? because it is more expensive.
Also one has a pivot joint and other does
not so I do not know...

Hi I bought a replacement shower hose for a pull out shower.
It has a male connector end which attaches to the water supply. But the new one appears to be 1/2 inch when the original appears to be 5/8 inch in diameter.
The websites do not seem to specify which suggests a standard size which I...

Hi,
I'm finishing fitting a concealed mixer shower (Stud wall & false ceiling). I've wet tested the main shower head that drops from the ceiling and all is well.
The shower also has a secondary outlet for a hand held shower head. The connection has me puzzled.
There is a half inch male...
Hello
Sorry I wasn't sure where to post or how relevant my question is but it's kind of related!
We have a very large custom built bath where we rent, too big to fill and too expensive, not to mention totally inappropriate for a baby and a toddler!
I have been looking for a rubber shower...
Can anyone help? I have a 30 yr old Seamaster 30 motor cruiser and the shower mixer unit in the head has a 1" threaded male hose outlet which was connected to a standard 3/4" shower hose via a chromed brass reducer. The reducer has corroded and disintegrated and I have found it impossible to...
I fitted a domestic electrical shower a couple of years ago.
In the fitting kit there was a small in- line water filter, which I fitted.
When I use the shower all is fine until the shower head is turned upside down, then the water pressure drops significantly, could it be that the filter has got...

Hi,
I have a shower hose connected to a mixer tap.
The bath has a pop up waste operated by a big chrome knob covering the overflow situated just below the taps. The connector on the mixer taps for the shower hose is on the underside - just above the big chrome knob! It is just possible to fit...

Hello all,
1) Does anyone know if the riser pole on riser kits are of a standard'ish length? Never replaced one before. Took measurements and looked on a couple of sites but listings don't feature measurements. To make sure I can use the original fixings on the tiled wall, the pole could be...
