Hi guys - I'm new to forum - I have a question-

I have a combo boiler and directly above is my bathroom - where I will have a shower mixer tap and bath tap.

Hot water to both sink, bath and shower is 15mm from boiler -

Question is - is it ok to run my cold water from the mains - which is a 22mm pipe - will my shower mixer handle it? Or will I have to feed a water tank in roof and make gravity fed? Appreciate any advice -

Cheers

Water coming through boiler and mains should be nigh on identical unless you have a ridiculously high mains pressure then it might be worth a pressure reducing valve on your incoming mains to balance the property and protect your boiler. Maybe get it tested if you believe this to be the case

I have an ideal vogue max S18 boiler and I’m considering fitting auto balancing TRVs, my question relates to the boilers pump. I see a boiler pump menu for either 70% or 100%, so, is the pump set at either one of two fixed speed percentages or does the pump actually vary speed, (modulate)...

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...

Hi, basic question, any insight much appreciated. Looking to have an outdoor tap in my front porch fed from 15mm pex coming up from suspended floor. Pic 1 is inside porch, pex temporarily clipped to give an idea of pipe placement (ignore shoddy blockwork of booted cowboy builder!), Pic 2 is...
