Boilers shouldn’t leak any water but should you find your boiler leaking, here’s what could be causing it:

  • Small leaks of water could mean you need to top up your bollier .
  • The pressure relief valve could be releasing extra pressure
  • The heat exchanger – the important part of your boiler where cold water is warmed up with hot gas – could be damaged
  • The joints where the heating system pipes meet the boiler may have been badly sealed.
  • If your boiler is getting old, some parts could have stopped working.

Do you mean the water comes internally around the flue above boiler in which case needs to be sealed correct outside. Or from boiler in which case a qualified person to check boiler.

You need to be more specific. Where is the water getting in?

Around the flue? Internally on the outside of flue?

Leaking from the internal flue joint?

Better I focus pictures help. Fault finding is very sense orientated. If we can’t hear, feel, smell and can only see, the pictures need to be top quality.

Shouldn't really happen but driving rain can and will find a weak point examine the flue externally it should be cemented under the weathering collar ? Driving rain can enter the air intake of the flue most have a drip tray to accommodate this some don't ? Looking at yours its a Baxi ?? So shouldn't be a issue. Kop
