As last month it cost me 28 quid just to ring technical helplines, mainly Worcester, Vaillant and Vokera. Apparently there is a free Vaillant one for registered installers? Worcester don't offer this aswell do they?

Also which of the manufacturers do you think offer the best technical help over the phone. Worcester have mostly been very good for me but so have all the ones I have tried, Glowworm, Ideal, Baxi etc also, always been impressed, apart from the cost.

Depends on who answers the phone, if they answer the phone!.

28 quid!!!!!!!!! Can you not change your contract to a business contract? I'm with vodafone and I'm going to see them tomorrow about changing contracts because some providers let you have 0854 etc numbers free

Couldnt you have a word with the sales rep for the Manufactures, may give you a different number.

yep I planned to ring the Worcester rep today but didn't finnish til about 7 so I'll try tomorrow. I'll check out the business tarrifs too though currently I can have 800 mins for 20 quid a month, I never went over it but no allowance for 0844 numbers etc!

ive had a couple of bills like that worcesters gharge a premium rate sure theyll all follow

I find these premium rates make me look harder to see if I can solve the problem myself ...

I've only phoned Worcester more than once to seek some proper technical help only to find that I knew as much as the bloke at the other end of the phone. Must admit I spoke to a female once and she was much more helpful. Was that because I was listening properly I wonder ...
