In the instructions for UPS2 it looks like this pump can be fitted upside down (the flow is downwards) is this correct? I know it is OK for older pumps (the previous was upside down). The pumps with electronic display seem to have to be unbolted and rotated (even if you can read upside down) which I am not keen to do.

Again according to the instructions an NCT cable can be purchased to deal with spikey voltage which this house has but I cannot find an online supplier. Any help gratefully received.
 
The reason the body has to be rotated is so the electrical connections are at the top of the pump, not the underside.
Basically they want the water to drain away from the electrical connections rather than pool in the electrical connection box
 
The electrical box will be at the side of the pump. The lead exiting the box would be at the top of the box instead of the underside of the box. Like this:
