Hello, I would like to know going by my image supplied if that black valve is open or closed? I would also like to move it so I can dangle the power cable so it doesn't touch anywhere near that hot pipe.

Fitted 2 radiators where they supplied materials but they didnt get any valves. I used the white Danfoss valves I had in my van but they dont like them!!

I'm trying to replace an old Xpelair 100mm fan that's fitted to a skylight in my bathroom (the roof above is flat). The existing fan has a somthing like a 100mm length duct to which a mushroom shaped cap is fitted on the outside. You can see a picture of the duct with the cap removed here...

It seems they pay £18 for a boiler service (whatever that entails (not much I suspect)).
