Hey folks. I've drawn out a diagram of the system I want to fit in my static caravan. Will it work?

Plumbing 1.jpg

The idea is for a pipe stat on the boiler outlet to switch on the pump when the stove is on.
I also thought I would need a safety valve on the outlet to drain heat in the event of power failure but I'm not sure exactly how it would work.
The other thing I'm not sure of is how to join the rad into the system to take heat when the tank is hot. As in valves to use etc.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

I want to keep the pipework below the floor as there is no wall space to have it in.

missing a header tank for stove primary - id use a metal one
missing safety blow off's several of different types !
i certainly wouldnt do anything like that in my caravan without a lot more knowledge than it appears you posess ( said with total respect ) and i certainly admire your idea and your schematic, but just remember solid fuel is more dangerous than gas in many aspects.

good luck

Not really, you need to have the cold feed dropping to the boiler, together with an open vent rising up from the boiler, size a minimum of 22 mm without any dips in it, the cylinder needs to be tank feed if its a copper cylinder, you defiantly need a safety valve and I would advise a metal expansion tank together with a metal ball valve and float

So I can't drop my pipework below boiler level at all, even with the pump?

Not unless you want to go and play your harp earlier than you should, see my other posting on this subject, then google boiler explosions

the other golden rule you have missed out,the last tee must go to the domestics(cylinder, return) or rads will warm up when on hot water only and as said by my colleges you will probably kill your self with this design,.back to the drawing board matey or professional intervention :)

Cheers for keepin me safe guys. Back to the drawin board indeed Gasman.

I may be back!
